Hello!

Embarking on a therapeutic journey can be both exciting and challenging, and I am honoured to be considered to walk alongside you.

I'm Mackenzie (she/her), and I am in my third year of the Doctor of Psychology program at Concordia University of Edmonton. I believe that each person is shaped by a unique blend of experiences and influences. My role is to help you explore how these elements fit together and how they impact your life. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where we can work together toward a deeper sense of self and self-acceptance.

Mental Health Concerns

I am passionate about supporting individuals (ages 16+) in working through anxiety, trauma, relations challenges, life transitions, and personality disorders. Supporting clients with identity exploration, including aspects of culture, gender, and sexuality, is a special interest of mine.

Mental Health Approaches

I approach therapy primarily through the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which focuses on helping you embrace life's challenges while building a rich and meaningful life. I often integrate aspects of other behavioural and humanistic therapies to support positive change, build on your strengths, and explore the complex factors influencing your well-being. By blending these approaches, I aim to create a personalized and effective treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.

More About Mackenzie

I have a deep passion for reading and spending much of my free time immersed in romances and thrillers. When I am not lost in a good book, I am likely indulging in the latest reality TV show or trying to maintain my Duolingo streak. Always an animal lover, I have two horses, one of which is a former racehorse!
