Hello!

When working with clients, I encourage authentic curiosity and reflective thinking, while holding space to recognize complexities and healing within a broader societal context. I believe in working collaboratively with individuals, leaning into compassionate listening and engaging in respectful conversation that is realistic, pragmatic and hopeful. I am honored to walk alongside individuals during their most challenging life moments and am committed to supporting individuals to explore and utilize their innate gifts and strengths within. I believe that the smallest glimpse of motivation supports meaningful change.

Mental Health Concerns

I have experience working with individuals who have been impacted by physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges, family and community violence, addictions, trauma, family separation, parenting, employment related challenges and grief/loss. I also have experience working with individuals with ADHD.

I utilize tools, skills, strategies, and techniques from a variety of approaches and theories, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Transtheoretical Model of Change, Strengths-Based Approach, Crisis Intervention, Trauma Theory, Anti Oppressive practice, Family Systems Theory, Resiliency Theory, Humanistic/Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. I am also trained in EMDR.

More About Pamela

Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my partner, my adult children and most importantly (from their perspective) my two very spirited dogs. During the warmer seasons, I like to get outside and spend time walking, biking, camping and gardening. When inside, I enjoy listening to music or getting lost in a good book. Everyday I look for opportunities to share a smile and laugher with those around me.
