Our team of experts is trained to work with military, RCMP and other first responders who have been injured while protecting our country. We also work with the families of these heroes and their loved ones. We understand how difficult it can be to talk about the things that are going on in your life, but we want you to know that we're here for you.
When you first started serving your country, you may not have expected the full impact your experiences would have on your mental health. Those life threatening calls, stressful and dangerous situations, civilian rescues, next of kin notifications, and dealing with the loss of a colleague are only some of the struggles you may have faced. Before you know it, your life has changed because of your service. The demands of work, home, and society pile on and it is difficult to make sense out of your life.
Services for RCMP and Veterans
We believe that the best way to heal from the trauma of war or being a police officer is to find a safe space to talk about it. That's why we provide comprehensive assessments and counselling sessions for RCMP and military veterans so you can get the help you need from professionals. Our trained psychologists are well-versed in the unique circumstances that come with being in either of these professions, which means they know how to help you navigate your experiences and move forward with your life.
VAC Assessments
We provide full mental health assessments so you can understand yourself better. We help you complete a VAC psychological form and assessment, which will acknowledge the trauma you have experienced due to your service to Canada. The VAC psychological is compensation for how your life has changed since starting policing and identifying how your mental health has deteriorated.
Counselling Services
We understand how difficult it can be for a veteran to open up about their experiences, which is why we provide a safe environment where you can talk about anything without judgment. Our counsellors will support you through your healing process by helping you identify what triggers your anxiety or depression, and offering techniques that will help you cope with those issues.
Returning to Civilian Life
We know that the transition from military service to civilian life can be tough on many veterans, so we offer comprehensive assessments and counselling sessions to help you make a smooth transition into civilian life. Our trained psychologists provide you with a safe place to talk about your experiences, get problem-solving advice, and learn ways to cope with the challenges of transitioning from military service.
How Can We Help?
We provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your issues and concerns in a way that feels safe and comfortable. Our counsellors are highly skilled in providing the appropriate level of support and guidance to help you on your journey towards healing and growth.
Anxiety Disorders
Learn to recognize, understand, and challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that contribute to the persistent feelings of anxiety.
Depression
Counselling can help you cope with depression by helping you understand it better, find ways to manage it, and improve your overall quality of life.
Grief and Loss
Grief is the process of accepting and coming to terms with loss. We can help you process, accept, and heal in a safe and supportive environment.
Self Esteem
If you struggle with self-esteem, body image, or body dysmorphic disorder, we can help you manage your feelings in a healthy way.
Stress & Burnout
Whether you're struggling with work, finances, life events or relationships, counselling can help you identify the sources of your stress and give you tools to manage it.
Substance Abuse
Many people with OCD have found relief through counselling where they learn to cope with their symptoms, manage their obsessions and control their compulsions.
Trauma and PTSD
Our counsellors work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives to provide them with strategies, support and guidance as they learn to cope.
Relationship Issues
Counselling can help individuals navigate difficult relationship situations and enables them to set boundaries, increase trust, nurture intimacy and improve communication.
Family Counselling
If you are a family member of an RCMP or veteran, you may have experienced some difficult situations. We understand that this can be hard to talk about and that it can impact your relationship with the person suffering from PTSD. We can help you cope with difficult situations, talk openly, empathize with one another, and grow stronger bonds together.
