Hello!

I come by my profession honestly, having had my own personal experience across the lifespan with therapy of different kinds, for different reasons. The journey of pursuing this career has been long and winding, but I feel like I am exactly where I should be, doing something that I believe in wholeheartedly and feel very fortunate to be able to do. I am proudly 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodiversity- and gender-affirming, sex worker- and kink-allied, sex positive, ENM/polyamory-allied, culture supportive, and trauma-informed.

Mental Health Concerns

I work best with those who are motivated to heal, grow, understand, change, or several or all of the above. As a practitioner, in trying to understand you and your experience, I often ask questions that provoke thought and self-reflection, and this seems to resonate well with people who are open to thinking in new ways and trying new things, who aren't afraid to get a little deep and embrace the messiness of being a human, and who welcome a new perspective. I have worked with a wide variety of people including 2SLGBTQIA+, athletes, executives, performers, creatives, other mental health practitioners, and more on a diversity of life issues.

Mental Health Approaches

I take an integrative approach to counselling therapy, meaning that I have a variety of tools in my kit and aim to use them in finding individualized approaches to helping each client travel their unique path to wherever they want to go. I am formally trained in EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis, and often use these in concert with other approaches and modalities that suit the individual needs of my clients. Ultimately I consider myself Humanistic as a mental health practitioner in that I respect and value your experience and self-knowledge, and believe fundamentally in the innate ability you have to heal and grow, even when things have made that difficult for you to do on your own. I aim to be accepting, non-judgmental, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding, and see my place in your story as walking along with you for a time on your journey, helping you to find the path that you want to take.
