Hello!

Power Psychology is very fortunate to have a Lions Foundation of Canada Facility Support Dog on site. Indus is a very special dog, who has had a great deal of training. His journey with the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides found him in the Facility Support Program, where he met his primary handler, Brittany Meredith, R. Psych. While Indus calls Brittany’s home his own, and primarily spend time in her office, he is available to the entire organization. Indus may join counselling, or assessment sessions, may respond to community crisis with us, or may just hang out around the office looking cute.

Please note, as a Labrador x Golden Retriever, Indus is not a hypoallergenic breed. If you are sensitive to pet dander, please book accordingly, or let us know during your booking, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Indus primarily works at our 98 Ordze Road, Sherwood Park location.

LFCDG Facility Support Dog Guide

LFCDG Facility Support Dog Guides assist Canadian professional agencies working with vulnerable people who have experienced trauma, which could be a result of criminal behaviour. These dogs are specifically trained to provide a non-judgmental attuned presence, and calming influence to reassure a person experiencing a stressful situation.

When you meet Indus, you'll understand why he's been chosen for this work. He has a very calm presence. He loves to spend his days curled up on the couch with clients, and can often be caught snoring. He can also be very fun, and energetic, but he is quite attuned to reading the room.
