Hello!

I pursued studies in psychology and history, eventually completing graduate work in history with a focus on the challenges of migration. My professional experience includes working in Human Services with both youth and adults. This work sparked my interest in the emotional and psychological well-being of migrants, leading me to earn a counseling degree from City University. I now use my skills to assist individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them navigate their world, find inner peace, and achieve personal contentment.

Mental Health Concerns

My approach to psychology is open, friendly, using person-centered dynamics. Therapy helps my clients learn new ways to navigate, previously impossible tasks and supports them to find deeper meaning in life. I work with youth (12+), adults, and couples that have been exposed to, or suffering from PTSD, Autism, FASD, ADHD, mood disorders, depression, trauma, anxiety and learning disabilities. I also have extensive experience coaching competitive sports and a strong background in performance, I am well-equipped to enhance athletes' physical and mental performance, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Mental Health Approaches

There are often situations in life that don't make sense to us; natural disasters, sudden loss, violence close to home or far away. My approach to life and therapy is that support helps us learn new methods of navigation to find deeper meaning in life.

I support my clients collaboratively with Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focus Brief Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together we deconstruct obstacles that feel too big to face alone; we view your goodness, skills, and hope separate from your struggles; and we build realistic goals.

I believe every person is the expert in how they would like their life to be (Person-Centered Therapy). I maintain that people possess inner wisdom and often solutions (Solution Focus Brief Therapy) and that sometimes we need a step by step plan to give us some relief (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am capable of individualizing your therapy sessions to accommodate your unique needs, symptoms, and goals.
