Monica's Clinical Focus

Monica recognizes how confusing and helpless eating disorders can be. She is passionate about supporting clients to explore the origins of their difficult relationships with food and/or exercise while working to understand and manage emotions that contribute to their distress. Monica believes that by working to find the connections between emotional experiences and the resulting symptoms, clients can begin to gain control over their lives again.

Monica's Approaches

Monica is trained in and utilizes various approaches, including EMDR. She understands the complex impact that interpersonal relationships have on the development and well-being of the self. As a result, Monica’s therapeutic work considers individual, couple, and family issues from a holistic perspective. She recognizes that each client brings unique qualities to therapy and works collaboratively with them to tailor an approach to their individual needs.
