Diana is a practicum student with a masters of arts in counselling from Yorkville University. She works with adults, teenagers and children living with mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma. She provides a caring and non-judgemental environment for adults, teenagers, and children to understand, process, and recover from their life challenges.

Able to work with diverse ages, Diana helps adults, teenagers and children who are living with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief, stress, trauma and more, live a more resilient, relaxed, and joyful life.

Diana's Approaches

Diana is trained to use a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution focused brief therapy to help her clients understand, process, and heal from their struggles. She has also been trained to work with children, having received 180 hours of training in play therapy as well as training in learn "Learn to Play" which helps children harness their imagination to foster independence and creativity.

With a post-graduate degree in Therapeutic Child Play, Diana is especially trained to work with Children who are living with variety of issues including anxiety, trauma, or depression. She has also completed 180 hours of Play Therapy training at the Canadian Association of Play Therapy Foundation. Furthermore, Diana worked in early childhood intervention and in schools for several years for children who are on the autism spectrum or have other behavioural diagnoses.

Counselling for Children

Furthermore, Diane is able to conduct "Learn to Play" for children who are unsure of the aspects of imaginative play. Learn to Play can help your child learn and grow in all aspects of life by fostering their ability to use their imagination and play independently.

More about Diana

Diana enjoys spending time with her family and her two cats, George and Annie. She spends a lot of time
at the gym and enjoys going to movies and reading. She gained an interest in counselling and play therapy due to being ill as a child and undergoing treatment herself in play therapy. She enjoys learning and is often looking for more things to learn.
