Sports Psychology

Sports psychology can help with depression, performance anxiety, lack of confidence, loss of motivation, anxiety associated with injury, as well as teach how to set achievable goals which would encourage clients push themselves and reach greater heights.

Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs) and Pain Management.

People who have experienced MVAs typically believe that their injuries are purely physical; which isn’t always the case. Alex has supported those who have experienced chronic pain through motor vehicle accidents and are noticing the psychological effects. Alex has an in-depth understanding of the psychological impacts of injuries and she is here to help you overcome challenges that you may be facing.

Domestic Violence

Alex has vast knowledge and experience working with those who have been impacted by domestic violence. Before becoming a psychologist, Alex worked within the shelter system in Edmonton for a number of years. During her practicum, she also facilitated mens and women’s domestic violence group sessions.

For the past 5 years, helping those who are affected by domestic violence is a passion for Alex and she provides a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment. Whether you are feeling stuck in a relationship, questioning whether to leave or stay, or just left a relationship - it may be time to talk to someone about your experiences and how to move forward.

One of Alex's passions is working with female teenagers and young adults. Alex enjoys working with this population because she believes it is important to learn how to empower our female youth and young adults navigate the many changes in their lives. Some of the common areas are depression, anxiety, disordered eating, suicidal ideation, conflict management, and self-esteem. Alex is also am a strong believer that parents of teens play a significant role in teen development - adults are welcome as well!
